Charbel Saadé – Artist / Photographer

Charbel Saadé fragments and defragments reality into a reimagined world. Exploring themes of transformation, perception, and identity, his work spans fine art photography, abstract imagery, and portraiture. Influenced by his background in cinema and storytelling, his images reconstruct reality, creating space for imagination.

Born in Beirut, a city shaped by destruction and reconstruction, Saadé is drawn to what is overlooked, discarded, or in transition. His work explores memory, identity, and impermanence, turning the ephemeral into something tangible.

He studied cinema at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture at the Lebanese University, developing a strong foundation in concept-driven photography.

From 2009 to 2018, he started working as a backstage photographer then perused a career as a commercial photographer, collaborating with designers, artists, and brands to create compelling visuals.

In 2016 he was selected to exhibit his work at the Starch Foundation in Beirut.

In 2018, his first solo exhibition at the Institut Français du Liban marked a shift toward a more artistic and exploratory practice.

Now based in Tiohtià:ke / Montréal, Québec, where he continues to explore his personal and artistic practice. Saadé is an active member of Bâtiment 7, a communal and creative hub that fosters collaboration, artistic and community-driven projects,
